good number of finches at Jack Lodge included the following
min 12 chaffinch
1 brambling seen and another heard
min 20 goldfinch
min 8 greenfinch
3 + 2 bullfinch
also in same area
1 moorhen
2 stock dove
min 8 blackbird
2 fieldfare
1 redwing
only c20 starling
also seen today
1 pr goosander at Clough Bottom Reservoir (seen as I travelled past on the bus)
c120 redwing flying over Whitewell Bottom towards Waterfoot
male sparrowhawk again at our feeders at Gaghills. This bird has taken unidentified prey this week and appears to be quite regular at the feeders and seems to be saving me a few quid by keeping birds away!
