Gulls

Over 500 gulls flew over Cheesden towards Edenfield between 11am and 12:30pm.  Whilst I couldn't get a good view of the birds they appeared to be predominantly common and herring gulls,  although there were a few lesser and great black backed gulls as well as black headed gulls amongst them.  At the same time there were c50 common and c30 black headed gulls on pasture at Cheesden and c15 great black backed, c8 lesser black backed, c10 herring & c30 each of common and black headed gull on AMR with birds coming and going all the time

A kingfisher was in a bush over the River Irwell for the second day running in Waterfoot

 cheers Kevin
