Holden Wood:-

 

at least one adult and a first winter present at top end about 11.45.....not there  in the morning....

a pair of tufted duck

2 grey partridge near railway track

min 7 mallard

2-3 reed bunting

willow warblers in song

usual coot and 3 great crested grebe

2 moorhen

5-6 cormorants in roosy

 

4 linnet

 

 

 Musbury:-

 

3 stock dove

 13 wheatear in mubusry on way up and 9 on way down

3 buzzard

3 kestrel

plenty of meadow pipits and skylark

2 linnet

1 willow warbler in song

3 stonechat - 2 males and a female

2 mistle thrush - a pair just before horse shoe bend

1 pipit sounding possibly tree pipity and a distant song which sounded whitethroat

2 pheasants - male

 1 swallow

today at holden wood from 9.45 to 11 am

9 moorhens
12 min mallard - 2 females
3 great crested grebe
4 coot

1 grasshopper warbler reedling near the board walk
2 grey wagtails
1 pied wagtail
2 buzzard
2 house martin
1 starling

0 med gulls but 10-15 b h gulls
