Good numbers of Great, Coal and Blue Tit, only saw two Long-Tailed, feeding activity by Blue and Great at a couple of nest boxes.
Flock of around 30 Goldfinch including juveniles at Alderbotttom, Chaffinch numbers look to be still rising, one pair of Bullfinch.
Robin and Wren numbers are excellent especially the amount of young, did not see any Dunnock, put that down to the undergrowth being very dense this year.
As usuall Blackbird numbers are good, there were several with white feathering around the head, must have a genetic strain here.
Only saw two Song Thrush but again this could be the undergrowth.
House Sparrows have bred well around Chatterton farm with several young seen.
Two family parties of Willow Warbler, one Chiffchaff and two young male Blackcaps, all were feeding on insects in bramble.
Nuthatches have done well two nest boxes were used and several naturall sites, at least four young were seen, did not see any Treecreeper but yesterday there were three individuals in the woodland at the back of my house.
The pair of Spotted Flycatchers are still siting out the poor weather, the male was seen this morning feeding the female on the nest. Eggs should hatch in the next 2/3 days.
Two male and one female Great Spotted Woodpeckers were seen but no young observed.
On the river were at least four young Dippers, two were newly fledged, four adults were seen, two family parties of Greywagtail numbering 9 in total were feeding on hatching insects. My local pair of kingfisher had two attempts at nesting but I do not think they have been successful. One bird was seen flying upstream at Chatterton.
The Mallards have done ok after a bad start, several young seen of varying ages. No Grey Heron or Goosander seen.
The Sand Martin nesting site is now empty, a couple were hawking over the river with good numbers of Swallow and House Martin. Higher up over the canopy were several Swift.
Silage fields have just been cut attracting large numbers of Corvids zany Woodpigeons.
