0700/1000 hrs overcast, calm, 14 degrees.

All the usual suspects appear to be in good order, a few things of note.

Very large Jackdaw presence in the open fields, counted around 80 individuals on the ground with more flying over.

Good to see 5 Bullfinch at Alderbottom, 2 male 2 female 1 Juvinile.

Charm of 9 Goldfinch, no Greenfinch seen.

One Lesser Redpoll, and  two Golgcrest with a flock of mixed Tits.

Young Kestrel near porritt lodge, unusual to see that species there.

Several Willow Warblers still feeding in the Hawthorn trees.

One male Blackcap.

On some grazing land at Alderbottom were three Red-Legged Partridge, 1 female 2 juveniles, never seen these down here before.

As I have been away for a while I missed the Spotted Flycatchers leaving the nest box, they were around 6 days old when I left but no sign of any birds today. I have cleaned out the box which shows no sign of disturbance, so I will assume at least two young fledged.

Nice to see local reports of this species, if anyone has a site that they think would benefit from a nest box please PM me as I have several free to a good home.

Three Kingfishers on the river along with two Grey Wagtail, 5 Dipper, one Grey Heron and several well grown Mallards.

There are still four Swallow nests with young in the Stables, 5 House Martins flying over.
