a clean white headed and white fronted gull with 2 typical herring/lesser black immatures on holden wood.....it was larger and taller.....had quite a brown mantle and wings...had strong dark tail band contrasting strongly with white rump...dark beak with an almost yellow glint to it..beak looked odd with forehead.....but not long and thin like Caspian....looked very much like a 1st 2nd winter Yellow Legged Gull........small chance it could have been a very small great black juvenile but looked too small and not heavy enough beak...today about 9.45am......not much else
