Holden Wood

1 pied wagtail

5 grey partridge between HW and Ogden

1 grey heron

24 cormorants in tree

Skeen of 50-60 pink footed geese moving west over Holden Wood & Ogden

 

Musbury Heights

1 ring tailed hen harrier on Musbury Heights going west over Hog Lowe Clough

(the highlight of my year!)

 

Ogden

4 teal

18 mallard

2 stonechat

1 robin

1 wren

1 greater black back gull

7 cormorant

 

Calf Hey

12 mallard

14 teal

Hi Paul,

Great sighting there - I have yet to see any Harrier species in Rossendale. I did go to Holden Wood on Tuesday but my highlight were 3 Common Gulls.
