08:30hrs - lots of mist down to low levels

1 Dipper at Reedsholme dispatching what looked like a small bullhead or a loach.

2 Goldcrest feeding amongst hawthorns on lane up to Oakenhead in the company of a Chiffchaff.

Large skein of Pink-footed Geese heading W. over Leabrook at 09:45 approx. 109 counted from phtograph, not sure that I caught them all.

Noted absence of G.S.Ws and low numbers of Jays over the last month. Could this be down to the poor acorn crop this year?
