Strongstry feeding station.

Intermitant heavy rain, snow and hail showers, occasional sunny spell, 3 degrees max.

Very active between showers, good numbers of most regular species, finch numbers have been rising steadily for over a weak.

Blue Tit.....18

Great Tit....14

Coal Tit....5

Long-tailed Tit....9

Chaffinch.....12

Goldfinch.....15

Bullfinch...3 two male one female.

Greenfinch.....5 this is the most here for a long time.

Siskin.....17 this flock has increased steadily,  there are several males in full breeding colour.

Robin....6

Dunnock.....two pair.

Wren....5 displaying and chasing through a wood pile.

Nuthatch....5 

Treecreeper.....1

Grey Wagtail.....2 this pair appear quite often now at first light.

Jackdaw......5/6 

Woodpigeon......4,  No Collared Dove seen for over a week.

Magple....3

Jay.....5 

Blackbird.....5 here now, but have had 10+ the last couple of days.

Song Thrush.... 3 the most all winter.

Great Spotted Woodpecker...total is probably close to 7 as they are actively chasing each other.

A wide angled picture taken of the feeding area showed 58 birds present (various species) in one snapshot.
