0700/1030 hrs Strong south westerly 6 degrees, only just beat the rain to get home.

Good numbers of Tits, Blackbirds, wrens.

Two pair of Nuthatch nest building.

Two Song Thrush feeding under Beech.

One Treecreeper.

Good numbers of Chaffinch, some in full song

Three male Bullfinch and one female.

Small charm of Goldfinch (7/8) and several pairs feeding on Alder and singing.

Two pairs of Great Spotted Woodpecker.

One male Green Woodpecker calling.

A Kingfisher on Porritt lodge.

Pair of Reed Bunting in same area as last week.

Tawny Owl in daytime roost.

Two groups of Jays 3/4.

Five pair of Lapwing displaying over muck spread fields.

One Raven some way off over Bull hill.

large numbers of Woodpigeon and Jackdaws, several pair of Carrion Crow feeding in fields.

One Grey Heron over Irwell vale along with one Buzzard.

Male Kestrel hunting along Moor road.

Pair of Mistle Thrush, first for some time.

Two unidentified small waders low and fast going north west over Beetle hill ( best guess Little Ringed Plover ).

Five Snipe all singles.

Gulls over moving in all directions 20/30 Black Headed in fields.

No Meadow Pipit, Skylark, Curlew or Wheatear seen or heard, maybe because of very strong wind.
