It looks like a Pink Footed / hybrid Goose to me with a pigment dissorder on its bill. The white is not symetrical enough for White Fronted Goose and no bars on its chest.
Collins say that some Pink Footed Geese have a white rim on it's bill and the size difference within the species is quiet big form 64cm long to 76cm, same size as White Fronted Geese but smaller than Greylag.
After getting better views in better light after you left, Sarfraz, and then better views in pics on the commy looks like a very small Pink Foot with perhaps something else in there.
In my opinion its a semi tame bird as it came towards me, along with some Canada`s, in search of food?? as is went to the waters edge!! They don`t do that at Pilling and Marshside!!
Nice photos. Should have waited. I do think it is a genuine wild bird and it appears tame only because it is associating with Canada Geese. It was very wary at first and crossed to the other side. The White Fronted Goose at Swillington Ings disappeared like that too. There is a place in the North West where some Pink Feet come very close to the hides looking for leftover food - Martin Mere!
The Pink Foot still there today - flew across the reservoir to the field. It was with the other Geese so therefore I doubt it felt scared. Under Peer Goose Pressure I am sure they will follow the others. It moved to the other side of the reservoir after I first arrived with 3 Canada Geese then it came back with them. A few will come to the hides at Martin Mere. No Chiffchaff today - 1-2 Buzzards, 3 Raven - 2 chasing a Buzzard. 2 Raven giving a bit of a chase to a Jackdaw/Carrion Crow - must have either been trying to rob or kill it even.
