A nice typical sunny spring day today started with a, puzzling at first, Redwing blasting it's song from the top of a Larch tree on the Folly tip soon followed by a male Brambling doing the same. Both species due to depart northwards. Then later whilst at Holden Wood Res with Sarfraz there was a Chiffchaff singing in the 2-3 lone Willows. Later around the EBSW area at least 4 male Chiffchaff singing along the Irwell.
