A.M.R. - 1 white wagtail, 2 little ringed plovers, 2 goldeneye (few pied wags, reed buntings)
Cowpe Moss area - 1 golden plover, 1 snipe and 2 dunlins (these I think my earliest for Rossendale)
Lee quarry - 1 ring ouzel (male) at the westernmost end
Of the commoner migrants only one blackcap today and a few swallows the only hirundines. Willow warblers seem to have increased somewhat with at least 6 between Townsend Fold and Stubbins and 4 along Bamford Rd. Chiffchaffs and wheatears appear to be everywhere in suitable habitat.
