I was up at Grane with Andy Young today and can add the following to your sightings

• cormorant - 17 at Holden Wood
• grey heron - 1 at Holden Wood
• teal - 2 at Holden Wood & 6 at Calf Hey
• common sandpiper - 1 heard calling in the mist appeared to be flying from Ogden to Holden Wood
• snipe - 1 seen by Andy at Holden Wood
• buzzard - 4 together
• kestrel - 1 at Holden Wood, 1 at Calf Hey & 1 at Jamestones
• moorhen - 10 at Holden Wood
• tawny owl - 1 heard as the fog lifted at Calf Hey
• green woodpecker - heard at Heap Clough
• great spotted woodpecker - 2 at Calf Hey
• stock dove - 1 at Holden Wood
• pied wagtail - 5 at Holden Wood & 10 at Calf Hey
• grey wagtail - 2 at Holden Wood
• stonechat - 2 at Heap Clough
• mistle thrush - flock of 11 at Calf hey
• chiffchaff - 2 at Holden Wood & 1 at Calf Hey
• nuthatch - 3 at Calf Hey
• siskin - heard at Clough Head & Troy Wood & min 6 in mixed flock at Calf Hey
• redpoll - heard at Holden Wood
• greenfinch - 1 heard near the scrubber on the hillside at Ogden was unusual
• reed bunting - 6 at Holden Wood & 1 at Calf Hey
