Hi Andy,

On ELOC website someone has put the Sandpiper down as a Green Sand on the 20th Dec near boathouse ??

Are you sure its a Common or could it be a Green??? or is other observer incorrect (as it's more likely a Green at this time of year) and he hasn't seen it well??? Or are there 1 of each. ( less likely) .?

Will try and get up in morning for a look.

Craig.

Hi Craig

Quite happy with common sand although wouldn't rule out spotted (you never know). Didn't see in flight as distracted by a chap asking what I was looking at!

Hi Andy,

You were right to be happy with Common as that's what it is. Ive just come off res now, in a mini hurricane. Bird flighty between boathouse/ dam embankment and workings soil below dam.

Also present were 12 Cormorant, 2 Goosander, 8 Malard, 2 B H Gulls. Couldn't see Scaup but huge waves!

Craig.
