Cormorant, 2 flew up the valley and a third bird was on Buckhurst Lodge,

Mallard, c12,

Teal, 11 flushed off flooded fields near Ridshaw and 22 on the scrape near Deeply Vale,

Goosander, redhead on the top lodge and a pair on Buckhurst lodge,

Sparrowhawk, female whizzed through near Salesis Farm,

Kestrel, male near Deeply Vale and another near Buckhurst,

Moorhen, pair on small pond and a single on the top lodge,

Snipe, 8 flushed off Harden Moor,

B.H.Gull, c40 on flooded fields,

Common Gull, 1 up the valley,

Herring Gull, c50 over,

L.B.B.Gull, c30 over,

G.B.B.Gull, 2 up the valley,

Stock Dove, 3 on wires,

Wood Pigeon, c12,

Little Owl, 1 on dry stone wall down Croston Close Road,

Green Woodpecker, 1 yaffled and flew near Buckhurst Farm,

Meadow Pipit, 1 near Buckhurst Farm,

Stonechat, male near Deeply Vale Flash,

Fieldfare, c80 in flocks to 20,

Redwing, flock of 6,

Song Thrush, 2 near Buckhurst Farm,

Mistle Thrush, 1,

Blackbird, c40 including a flock of 11 at the bottom of a hedge near Ridshaw,

Grey Wagtail, male near Deeply Vale Flash,

Nuthatch, 1 coming to feeders at Salesis Farm,

Starling, c30 feeding on flooded pasture,

House Sparrow, c8 at Salesis Farm,

Finches, a distinct lack of any was a surprise!
