Constant passage of Herring Gulls up the Limy valley from mid-day to 14:45 hrs.
Some c200 seen in a steady passage in small groups with birds coming from the Horncliffe/Edenfield area then low over Rawtenstall town centre then very low over Holland Ave/Twin Lodge area (good observation point here). An even mixture of adults and immature birds. Also c9 Great black backed Gull in amongst them but no Lesser blacks seen.
