Nice selection of birds Kevin. Did you get round to changing your camera?

Hi Ste

I bought a Nikon Coolpix P900 bridge camera.  This is the same camera Sarfraz uses.  I also met a lady called Jen Coates who posts on the ELOC website who uses it.  The image quality is not as good as DSLR (especially the images that Craig and Dennis produce) but with good light you can get a decent image without having to spend a small fortune on a decent lens.  The 83 x zoom is also useful for identifying distant birds.  It's certainly a camera I would recommend for someone such as myself i.e. a birdwatcher who takes pictures rather than a bird photographer.  I still have my DSLR and hope to purchase a decent macro lens for it this year.

cheers Kevin

Great stuff. I thought I noticed a slight change to some of the photos. The zoom range of the camera is quite something. Sarfraz has some lovely shots with the camera.

Macro is certainly a different kind of photography.
