0700 to1030 nice spring morning 7 degrees calm overcast becoming sunny.
Blue, Great, and Coal Tit many in song and displaying.
Long -tailed Tit, Two small parties of about a dozen.
Chaffinch, in song and plentifu,
Goldfinch, seem to have paired of no large charms but lots around.
Bullfinch, not seen many all winter but found 4 pair this morning.
Nuthatch, good numbers in the woods and calling well.
Robin, Dunnock, and Wren in good numbers.
Goldcrest, one pair feeding at Porritt lodge.
Blackbirds were numerous.
Song Thrush, at least 4 in full song.
Mistle Thrush, two pair feeding in fields.
Great Spotted Woodpecker, 5 different males seen, some calling and drumming.
Green Woodpecker, one heard only.
Magpie, one fully build nest, more than usual birds flying around.
Jay, three in Buckden woods.
Jackdaws, Carrion Crow feeding in fields, and 4 Rooks flying over.
Meadow Pipit, two small groups of around 7 along Moor road.
Starling, large flock very mobile of around 40.
Lapwing, Seven in a very wet field near pleasant view farm.
Sparrowhawk, female hunting hedgerows
Pheasant, two males on the Moor.
Wood Pigeon, plenty as usual.
Was hoping for Curlew and Skylark but none seen or heard
Returned home to find Chiffchaff in song behind my house.
