Since thinking about rookeries again I keep getting a (presumably false) memory of there being a rookery at St Mary's in Rawtenstall. Yet I can find no reference to it elsewhere. There is mention of a small rookery at The Fold way back in the early ROC rook reports and I suppose that isn't too far from the church.
Has anyone else any memories of rooks in the centre?
