Parked up on Burnley rd, Dunnockshaw tonight, 8 - 8.30 pm to watch the numbers of Jackdaws coming to roost in Riley's wood.  Birds were coming in all the time until after dark from the south and more so from the Burnley direction.  There were so many at the end swirling around it was like watching a Starling roost! 2000+ birds including a few C Crows gave a great show.
