• sparrowhawk - juvenile male in Lee Quarry & a female over Huttock Top
• kestrel - 1 at Lee Quarry, 1 Clough Bottom & 1 over Hameldon
• curlew - at least 2 birds calling near Clough Bottom
• kingfisher - 1 at Meadow Lodge in Healey Dell
• green woodpecker - 2 or 3 at Cowm
• great spotted woodpecker - 1 at Clough Bottom
• wheatear - 2 at Whitworth Quarry
• stonechat - 7 at Clowbridge
• linnet - flocks of 40 & 17 at Lee Quarry
• redpoll - calling birds at Cowm
• siskin - calling birds at Clough Bottom
• bullfinch - 1pr and other calling birds at Cowm
