Hurst Lane, Rawtenstall - 1 redstart near the top also a mixed flock of tits, chaffinches and goldfinches with 4 phyloscs (prob all chiffchaffs)
Clowbridge - along the south shore 1 whitethroat, 1 sedge warbler, around 70 meadow pipits, 30 goldfinches, 2 stonechats plus the odd reed bunting. Also 1 common gull, c20 lesser black-backed gulls, c20 bh gulls, 2 cormorants.
On the way up/down one probable whinchat nr Greenfold, one wheatear Bonfire Hill, 4 skylarks Meadow Head, 40+ swallows nr Bottomley Bank.
In Rawtenstall singing dippers at Groundwork and on the Limy in town. Birds singing every day now at various sites along the river.
In general not too much sign of any vis-mig but not out particularly early. No waders today
