After waiting for the first eight months of this year, I finally managed to see a Kingfisher at Conder Green, Lancashire last week. Today I walked around the reservoir and flying at the side of me was a beautiful Kingfisher. This is only my third sighting at Cowm Reservoir of this species in the 14 years that I have been watching the reservoir. When I got nearer to the "little bridge" the Kingfisher was sat on the top handrail showing itself in all its glory!
