Been lazy putting sightings on but nothing extra special seen. Been hoping to see Ring Ouzels but sadly 0.
Pink Footed Geese approx. 100 heading North West over Haslingden - first Rossendale sighting this autumn for me.

mixed flock of Nuthatch, Goldcrest, all usual Tits and Treecreeper in trees near car park
1 Great Spotted Woodpecker too

Musbury:-
Black Redstart - word of advice - Craig was a few minutes ahead of me and as he walked past it must have been out of sight, as I walked past the spot it came right into view.....showed for at least 20 seconds..then out of sight again......I would advise people to wait and watch likely spots for Black Redstarts for 10-15 minutes if not showing.....sunny days might be best...

Wednesday 27 September:-
4 Song Thrush in scrub by dam wall of Holden Wood - possible migrants on easterlies
4 Song Thrush flying south over Stonefold
9 Redpoll at Holden Wood
6 Linnet at Holden Wood
7 Linnet at Stonefold
min 50 Starlings at Stonefold
many large Gulls visiting Mitchells House - almost certainly would get Iceland Gull here I believe.
The Coot Kevin sighted on 10th of September was not present on 11th. The Teals have been present since 7th September but not showing ...just heard but I saw 2 on 11th as well. Common Sandpiper on 11th of Sept too.
The last Swallows and House Martins seen 26th September - around Grane, Stonefold.
Butterflies:-
Red Admiral - 1 at Holden Wood, 1 at Ogden, 1 at Jamestones
29th Sept min of 12 red Admiral around Grane
22nd Sept - min 20 Red Admirals around Grane and Quarries
22nd sept - 2 3 Speckled Wood at Holden Wood and 4 at Qaurries across the road
Dragonflies:-
1 Common darter at Holden Wood on 6th of October
