After several days of sub zero temperatures (-6 lowest) the rain came today and the temp rose to a balmy +6.

It has been a week of quantiy rather than quality with a couple of interesting moments.

Jackdaw....8.

Magpie....3

Woodpigeon.....last couple of days they have invaded the site, at least 10.

Pheasant....single Male mopping up seed at dusk, this has been hear in bad weather before.

Tawny Owl...Single has been perching on trees above site a couple of times watching wood mice.

Sparrowhawk....Male has been regular all winter, on Monday I had a flock of Redwing (25) in trees above site, with plenty of fruit on the ground I was hopeful until a female Sparrowhawk spooked the flock.

No Brambling seen anywhere in the area, other than a couple of Siskin early December, not seen anymore locally.
