A constant stream of mixed herring and lesser black backed gulls totalling 336, all moving up the Limy valley from Rawtenstall. Doubtless more had been moving through before I started watching. Numbers would therefore have been considerably higher.
Also 1 Buzzard, 1f Sparrowhawk, pr Pied Wagtail, flock of 5 Goldfinch.
Greenfinch & Blackbird in song.
Otherwise very poor w/ cold N. wind - not much sign of spring over the last few days.
