A few odds'n'sods from around Townsend Fold this week:
Peregrine - pr screaming, 1 with food heading towards Hardmans chimney yesterday (6/7). I assume this is the regular pair making an early return to their winter quarters (?) although unable to age them without optics to hand
Sand Martin - 15 holes occupied in total, probably 4 broods now fledged
Whitethroat - 5 of the 6 territorial males between Groundwork and Ewood Bridge still singing. One nest site now deserted so either fledged or predated
Little Grebe - 1 still present HTL but no sign of successful breeding (does anyone know otherwise?)
