Green sandpiper flushed from the small pond to the north. 200+ lapwings the only waders on the res
Hobby over SE and 2 stonechats Lumb Bridge
Also present 3 tufted ducks, 8 goosanders, 2 cormorants, about 50 each lesser black-backed and black-headed gulls and one herring gull.
On the way there/back one whinchat Cheesden Brook (Rossendale side!!), 2 little owls and about 20 meadow pipits Bamford Lane. Over the moors 4 skylarks 2 ravens and 5+ kestrels. No meadow pipits or wheatears on the higher ground
