3 flocks of fieldfares c120, c100 & c100 flew south over Waterfoot between 7:20am & 7:30am. They appeared to have roosted locally overnight.
Last night, whilst I was walking the dogs between 10 & 10:30pm I heard redwing calls overhead at least 7 times
100 - 200 herring gulls are seen daily passing over Waterfoot in the morning, at first light, at present. They appear to be heading towards Cowpe Res and the hillsides along the valley towards Bacup & Whitworth
