One in the rushy bit near the summit this lunch-time. Flushed perhaps 100 metres to the east but could not be re-located. Also today pink-feet heard somewhere around Harcles Hill and 2 stonechats and a pair of tumbling ravens at the top end of Alden.

Other bits'n'bobs this week:

45 meadow pipits Cribden Flats (Mon10/12)

One brambling with chaffinches Sunny bank (Tue 11/12)

54 pink-feet west over Goodshaw Hill (Wed 12/12)

Around Townsend Fold there have been up to 2 male and 4 redhead goosanders this week along the river (plus the usual kingfisher, grey wags and up to 3 singing dippers between Groundwork and Ewood Bridge). Peregrines are again putting in an occasional appearance at Hardmans chimney after a long break. No sign of the chiffchaff since Sunday

Andy
