A very cold (-2) morning at first light I had Nineteen Collared Doves at the feeding station, I have never recorded anywhere like these numbers locally, in fact there used to be a breeding pair here but they have not bred for several years, the nearest breeding is Irwell Vale and Edenfield but I dont think in those numbers. So are these just gathering from local spots or are they migrants of some description. Regards Brian.
