• Canada goose - 14 flew low over Lench and carried on down the valley
• mallard - 29 at Lench
• sparrowhawk - 1 over the hillside near Thorpe's Farm, 1 carrying prey near Kearn's & a male flew off the roof of a bungalow in the village
• stock dove 2 near Cowpe Res
• kingfisher - 1 at Lench
• pied wagtail - 1 at Cowpe Res
• dipper - 1 at Kearn's
• mistle thrush - 2 at Lench
• treecreeper - 1 at Lench
• nuthatch - 1 at Cowpe allotments
• long-tailed tit - min 11 at Lench
• chaffinch - flock of 10 at Lench & min 10 in flock of c30 finches at Kearn's (it's worth checking this flock for brambling if anybody is in the area)
• goldfinch - min 4 at Lench & min 10 at Kearn's
• greenfinch - 3 at Kearn's
