• grey heron - 10 at Warth
• Canada goose - 1pr at Warth & at least 1pr at Cowpe Res (viewed from Cowpe Lowe)
• mallard - 3prs at Lench Lodges
• moorhen - 1 at Lench Lodges
• golden plover - flocks of 15 & 4 at Cowpe Lowe
• snipe - 1 at Cowpe Lowe
• lesser black-backed gull - 4 flying down the Irwell Valley
• skylark - 2 on Cowpe Lowe
• green woodpecker - 1 yaffled briefly at Warth
• stock dove - 3 at Warth
• meadow pipit - 3 at Cowpe Lowe
• grey wagtail - 1 in Waterfoot, these seem to have been scarce so far this year
• collared dove - 1 near Lench
• redwing - 2 at Lench & 5 at Warth
• dipper - 1pr at Warth
• treecreeper - 1 at Warth
• magpie - flock of 16 in fields above Tippett's Farm, Cowpe
