Grey Heron, 1 over,

Canada Goose, 2 pair on Shortclough and a pair over,

Mallard, pair,

Pheasant, calling bird at Edge Cote,

Curlew, flock of 3 over Swinshaw Moor,

Lapwing, single near Swinshaw Moor,

Snipe, 5 on Swinshaw Moor & 13 on Edge Cote,

L.B.B.Gull, 3 feeding on Twenty Penneth,

Stock Dove, 2 pair on Chapel Hill & 3 near Bonfire Hill,

Skylark, c15 singing birds,

Pied Wagtail, c6,

Blackbird, good numbers with around 30 birds seen on the circuit,

Song Thrush, c6 singing birds,

Redwing, flock of 4 at Bonfire Hill,

Coal Tit, singing birds at Bonfire Hill and Edge Cote,

L.T.Tit, 2 pairs,

Dunnock, c6 singing birds,

Robin, c8 singing birds,

Rook, several feeding on the tops and dropping down into either Limy or Whitewell Valleys. C40 birds in Crawshawbooth and c12 at Peers Clough rookeries.

Raven, pair on Twenty Penneth off east and a single over,

Starling, c20 on houses on Newchurch Road and c50 feeding on Twenty Penneth,

House Sparrow, c6 on houses on Newchurch Road,

Goldfinch, c12,

Chaffinch, c20, several in song,

Greenfinch, 12, inc 2 flocks of 4 with most 'wheezing' and in display flight!

Reed Bunting, male at Edge Cote.
