Common Migrants Rawtenstall to Irwell Vale 4-6 April

Blackcap - 1 singing EBSW this morning (6/4)

Willow Warbler - one on 4th, 5th and 6th April around Ewood Bridge/Irwell Vale (each at different locations)

Chiffchaff - present all the usual places now along the valley but not at full numbers yet

Sand Martin - 3 around last years breeding site this morning (6/4). Not doing anything yet but a promising sign. One EBSW yesterday (5/4) 

House Martin - around 5 yesterday (5/4) and 2 thursday (4/4) EBSW

Swallow - 2 on the path above Irwell Vale today otherwise just around EBSW - c15 yesterday (5/4)

Hi Andy,

I was at EBSW 16:00-17:00 and did a circuit behind the beds with the following:

Buzzard, soaring pair,
Sparrowhawk, female with Buzzards!
G.S,Woodpecker, calling,
Nuthatch, 1,
Treecreeper, 2,
Swallow, 2,
House Martin, 2
Chiffchaff, 3 singing.
