Early start as Bob & I were off on the Bird Race, however, it had been postponed until next week!!

Grey Heron, 1 on back pond,

Canada Goose, c12,

Mallard, c6,

Kestrel, 1 over Nutshaw,

Pheasant, male south of boat house,

Curlew, calling birds from the moors,

Oystercatcher, 2 over first thing,

Lapwing, c8 on scarified fields,

Common Sandpiper, single bird,

L.B.B.Gull, c12 over,

B.H.Gull, 1 on res...briefly,

Stock Dove, pair near Nutshaw,

Cuckoo, calling bird from towards Compston's

Swift, 3 over Point Wood,

Skylark, c4 singing birds,

Swallow, c6,

House Martin, 1,

Sand Martin, 1,

Meadow Pipit, c6,

Grey Wagtail, female on res bank,

Pied Wagtail, 2,

Wren, flock of c6 newly fledged young at Point Wood,

Song Thrush, 2 singing birds,

Willow Warbler, c4 singing birds,

Blackcap, 2 singing birds,

Grasshopper Warbler, 1 reeling bird,

Starling, flock of c30 birds,

Goldfinch, c4,

Chaffinch, c6,

Lesser Redpoll, single bird at top end,
