Mainly a visit yesterday evening but got a text from Archie about the Common Scoter so popped up this morning to see it.

G.C.Grebe, pair in display,

Grey Heron, 1 stalking in mowed field,

Canada Goose, 8,

Mallard, c20,

Common Scoter, male, diving for food on 16th,

Pheasant, calling birds,

Curlew, several calling from the moors plus fly over bird,

Lapwing, what looked like two sitting birds!

L.B.B.Gull, c30 through south east,

Swift, c40 feeding over the res or moors,

Skylark, c4 singing birds,

Swallow, c6,

House Martin, c4,

Sand Martin, 2 feeding over res,

Meadow Pipit, c12,

Pied Wagtail, c5, several juvs,

Song Thrush, 2 singing birds,

Willow Warbler, c6 singing birds, several also carrying food,

Blackccap, 1 singing bird,

Coal Tit, family party,

L.T.Tit, family party,

Goldcrest, calling birds,

Chaffinch, c6,

Goldfinch, c6,

Reed Bunting, 2 males.
