sparrowhawk - 1 at Holden Wood in the morning hunting starlings on the hillside, then 1 hunting redwings in roadside hawthorns along Grane Road in the afternoon

siskin - min 16 at Calf Hey. There was possibly 3 times this number present. There was a large flock of small birds, tits and finches etc, in the treetops in the woods with many siskin calls. Unfortunately most birds in the flock kept themselves out of sight
