Approx 25-30,000 Redwings, c2,000 Fieldfare and dozens of Blackbirds went to roost in the trees at Longridge fell tonight. A truly fantastic and very rare sight anywhere let alone very local.

Also 7+ Woodcock come out of the woods to feed on the farmland at dusk. Worth going for that alone!!
