A singing whitethroat between Groundwork and Townsend Fold this morning and 2 common sandpipers around the bypass bridge. Over the last few days a few sand martins have arrived around the colony but not showing any sign of nesting activity as yet. The pair of goosanders is still putting in regular appearances.
The sewage works has been virtually bird-free on the last few visits - hardly any hirundines and precious few pied wagtails
