Grey Heron, 1,

Canada Goose, c100 inc many juvs,

Buzzard, c4 soaring singles,

Sparrowhawk, 2 singles over,

Kestrel, c4 singles,

Moorhen, 2 on Holden Wood,

Pheasant, calling birds,

Curlew, calling birds from the tops,

Oystercatcher, c6,

Lapwing, c10 with the odd sitting bird but no young seen,

Common Sandpiper, 1,

Mediterranean Gull, adult on Holden Wood briefly,

B.H.Gull, c20 especially in Jamestones,

L.B.B.Gull, c12 over,

Stock Dove, c6,

Cuckoo, calling bird at Holden Wood first thing later calling incessantly at Calf Hey,

Swift, c25 over the valley,

G.S.Woodpecker, 1 in Heap Clough,

Skylark, c4 on the edge of Haslingden Moor,

Swallow, c20,

Sand Martin, c15,

Meadow Pipit, c20,

Pied Wagtail, c8,

Stonechat, pair near Ogden,

Mistle Thrush, pair plus singing bird,
