Whilst walking the dog tonight along Park Road near Booth Crescent, Edgeside, a kingfisher flew towards me at head height before cutting through Edgeside Park, presumably continuing on to The River Whitewell. Not sure where this would have come from. The nearest water body I can think of is Jack Lodge, which is some distance away
10 swift also in the area, which were slightly more expected
Another strange sighting this morning. Heard a skylark singing whilst I was in my backyard around 7am. The bird was possibly over Park Road/ Edgeside Park
