Canada Goose, 292 birds present. initially on pasture then they flew onto the res's before flying off in smaller flocks in various directions. One of the biggest counts I've had in Rossendale.
Mallard, 2,
Goosander, 3 redheads,
Kestrel, 3 hunting over the moors,
Lapwing, 10 over west and 3 feeding in a waterlogged field,
Snipe, 2 flew over then circled before landing in a waterlogged field,
B.H.Gull, c20,
Common Gull, 6,
Meadow Pipit, c20,
Stonechat, 3 towards May Road Well,
Starling, flock of c50,
