First dry day for some time.....
Blue Tit.....8/10 average
Great Tit.....similar to above.
Coal Tit....always difficult to count but definitely taken over as the commonest Tit here.
Long-tailed Tit.....small group of around 8 visit most days.
Chaffinch....commonest finch, around 20, no Brambling seen for a ourle of weeks.
Goldfinch.....flock of 14/16 all day.
Bullfinch....usually 2 Male and female.
Greenfinch.....first one arrived last weekend there were two today.
Robin.....4/6 Residents.
Wren.....always an odd one bombing about.
Dunnock.....couple of pair.
Nuthatch....can be up to 6 seen at any time.
Treecreeper.....1/2 most days.
Blackbird.....a few residents but most mornings there can be around 12 possible winter visitors.
Song Thrush....3 regular.
Great Spotted Woodpecker......always a couple around.
Jay....3/4 most days.
Jackdaw.....upwards of 8 first thing in the morning.
Magpie....a couple regularly.
Carrion Crow.....a couple most days.
Wood Pigeon.....3/4 Numbers have decreased over last couple of weeks.
Feral Pigeon.....thèse locals have found the site this year.
Collared Dove.....usually just two.
Stock Dove....pair most days.
Sparrowhawk....a Male has been regular recently, and seen to take two Goldfinch and a Blackbird.
Tawny Owl....one quite frequent at dusk as the wood mice appear.
