• goldeneye - 2 males & a female on Ogden were probably the same birds seen later at Calf Hey
• moorhen - 2 at Holden Wood
• coot - 1 at Holden wood
• buzzard - 3 or 4 
• kestrel - 2 at Holden Wood & 1 near Hutch Bank
• woodcock - 1 at Calf Hey
• snipe - 2 at Holden Wood
• great black backed gull - c8 - 10
• lesser black backed gull - 1 or 2 over
• herring gull - c60 over, just over half of which passed over towards Fishmoor at dusk
• black headed gull - 100+
• common gull - 3 at Holden Wood
• woodpigeon - c30
• stock dove - 13 on wires at Ogden, 3 near the farm at Holden Wood & 2 singles over to Musbury
• great spotted woodpecker - 1 at Calf Hey
• grey wagtail - 1 at Ogden
• pied wagtail - 1 near Heap Clough
• robin - just 7 seen throughout the valley
• stonechat - 1 at Holden Wood
• blackbird - c20, half of which were at Calf Hey
• mistle thrush - 1pr over King's Hillock Wood
• fieldfare - 9 at Ogden
• great tit - c16, mostly at Calf Hey
• blue tit - c18 mostly at Calf Hey
• coal tit - c25 mostly at Calf Hey
• long tailed tit - 1pr & a flock of c10 at Calf Hey
• Jay - 3 at Ogden
• magpie - c10
• carrion crow - c30
• jackdaw - 40 at Holden Wood
• nuthatch - 2 at Calf Hey
• treecreeper - 1 at Calf Hey & 1 at Holden Wood
• wren - 5
• dunnock - 1 at Calf Hey
• starling - 7 north over Holden Wood at dusk
• chaffinch - only 3
• goldfinch - c10 at Calf Hey, probably more present judging by the constant chattering in the trees near the car park
• bullfinch calling bird at Calf Hey
