Moorhen, 4 on Shortclough Res & 2 on the banks of The Limy at Goodshawfold,

Lapwing, 4 in a field north of Point Wood at Clowbridge and c30 on Twenty Penneth,

Snipe, 6 on a frozen Edge Cote,

G.B.B.Gull, adult at Clowbridge and adult spooking the Lapwings & Starlings on Twenty Penneth,

L.B.B.Gull, 1 on Clough Bottom,

Herring Gull, 2 on Clowbridge, c12 on Clough Bottom and c12 flying over,

Common Gull, 2 on Shortclough, 2 on Clowbridge, c12 on Clough Bottom and c12 on Twenty Penneth,

Hi Dave 

a couple of additions from Clowbridge & Clough Bottom

  • goosander - 3 redheads flew onto Clough Bottom this morning
  • lapwing - there were 62 in the field at Clowbridge at around 1:30pm
  • buzzard - I had singles at Clowbridge & Swallow Shore
  • kestrel - 1 at Clowbridge
  • great black backed gull - flock of 3 flew north & a first winter bird at Clowbridge 
  • great spotted woodpecker - 1 at Clough Bottom
  • meadow pipit - single bird at Clowbridge
  • starling - at least 63 with the lapwings at Clowbridge
  • greenfinch - at least 2 at Clowbridge
  • bullfinch - 1 or 2 calling birds at Clowbridge
