Goshawk seen over Waterfoot around 3:45pm today. The bird was soaring over the area between BRGS and the Glen, did a couple of flap, flap glides, without losing height then went into deep stoop and was lost to sight. I was some distance from it, but it appeared to be a largish female, possibly the same bird that was seen at Lench in November 2020. Whilst it was soaring c160 jackdaws & c30 feral pigeons were in a state of panic over Waterfoot centre

nuthatch - bird seen at usual nest hole in Edgeside Park
great spotted woodpeckers drumming birds at Edgeside Park & Trickett's Memorial
song thrushes & dunnocks seem particularly numerous at the moment
grey herons have been very vocal as they flew over the village over the past 3 nights between 10 & 11pm
