Mallard, 3 on Twin Lodges,

Goosander, 13 on MHR inc 2 males,

Buzzard, pair over Chapel Hill & single over Cribden,

Sparrowhawk, male over Stonefold,

Kestrel, male in Duckworth Clough,

Moorhen, 1 on Twin Lodge,

Curlew, single at MHR & single at Stonefold, maybe the same bird,

Lapwing, flock of 24 at MHR,

Snipe, 4 behind MHR & 1 flushed off Cribden,

Jack Snipe, 1 behind MHR,

Herring Gull, 1 over Cribden end,

Stock Doves, 3 pairs,

Skylark, 2 flushed off the tops and 1 in song near MHR,

Pied Wagtail, 1 at MHR,

Grey Wagtail, sat on telephone wires near Rawtenstall Market,

Dunnock, c15 singing birds!

Song Thrush, 2 singing near ski slope,

Raven, 3 singles over calling,

Starling, c20,

Greenfinch, 4 at MHR,

Chaffinch, 2 in song in Duckworth Clough,

Bullfinch, 1 in Rawtenstall eating Beech buds.
