East view/Porritt lodges area.

08:00/11:00 hrs calm overcast 8 degrees.

Chiffchaff....relocated presumably the one from a couple of weeks ago, feeding but no song.

Willow Warbler......single in full song looking like holding a territory, first found by PaulG.

Greenfinch....5 over the last couple of years they have been here in winter, still here now, this is the latest I have recorded them here and they do look like they have settled.

Goldcrest.....2 pair displaying, again these are unusual here.

Goldfinch.....4/5 pair.

Bullfinch.....had 9 (5m 4fe) in one hawthorn, had good numbers all winter.

Chaffinch....7/8 two in full song.

Blue Tit....several

Great Tit.....several

Long-tailed Tit.....two pair one of which has fully built nest

Green Woodpecker.....very vocal

Buzzard....pair displaying and copulating.

Song Thrush.....3/4 in leaf litter

Robin/Blackbird/Wren.....several

Fieldfare.....5 moving through hawthorns

Jay....two.

That's the earliest record I can find for willow warbler, beating 1 on 26th March 2005.

It is certainly my earliest by five days, had one top of pin meadow Stubbins 2019.

Willow Warbler still present this morning in the row of Hawthorn, also two Chiffchaff, seven Bullfinch and six Greenfinch.
